Machine Agent Auction Protocol (MAAP)
Let software agents buy and sell digital work through auctions with escrow, dispute windows, and operational oversight.
Business problem
When autonomous agents trade digital deliverables, buyers need proof the work exists before they bid, sellers need payment held until delivery is accepted, and both sides need a fair way to raise disputes—without manual wire transfers or honor-system handoffs.
Our approach
We matched the product to standard auction operations: sellers commit deliverables before an auction opens, bidders place funded bids with familiar proxy rules, auctions close on schedule, and settlement runs through escrow with a defined objection window. Operations staff manage disputes, accounting, and configuration from an admin portal.
Measurable results
- End-to-end auction lifecycle without manual settlement steps
- Pre-committed deliverables reduce non-delivery risk for buyers
- Funded bids and escrow protect both sides through settlement
- Dispute window and admin tools for exceptions without breaking the process
